COUNTY PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD MEMBERS

County Public Service Boards were created under Constitution Chapter 13 Article 235, and subsequently in the County Government Act 2012 sec 57.

The Elgeyo Marakwet County Public Service Board was approved by the Elgeyo Marakwet County Assembly on 18th June 2013 and appointed and gazetted by H.E. Eng. Alex Tolgos The Governor of Elgeyo Marakwet County on 21st June 2013 via Gazette Notice No. 8644.

Gideon hails from Kapkee Village, Mokwo Location, Kaptarakwa ward. He has a BSc (First Class honors) in Biomedical Sciences from Maseno University, MS (Molecular Bio-science and Bioengineering) from University of Hawaii (USA), MBA from Management University of Africa, and he is a CPA(K). He is a PhD candidate at the University of Hawaii. He is a professional member of ICPAK, ASBMB, and AAAS. Gideon has worked for Mobile World (K) Ltd, Promotions in Paradise (USA), State of Hawaii (USA), KCB, Standard Chartered(K) Ltd, and Europa Healthcare. He loves to volunteer and to travel. Gideon serves in the board on a part-time basis.

Before taking up this appointment, she worked for the Teachers Service Commission as a High School teacher for close to ten years and had risen to the position of Senior Graduate Teacher I-an Administrative position. She holds an MBA (Human Resource Management Option) and is a Certified Public Secretary (CPS-K); she was recognized by KASNEB in the KASNEB awards in April 2011 for being the best overall student in the paper Organizational Behavior in the exam of May 2010.Her other qualifications include: Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management, Diploma in Human Resource Management and Bachelor of Education (Arts) degree. She has been enrolled into P.H.D (Human Resource Management) at JKUAT Kitale Campus and is due to start her coursework. She is a member of ICPSK and an associate member of the Kenya Institute of Management. Francisca is hardworking, results oriented, supportive and committed to continuous improvement. As part of her social responsibility initiative she facilitates Career Guidance talks for high school and post high school students when her busy schedule allows , supports youth from disadvantaged backgrounds who have been unable to access tertiary education(material support, mentorship and encouragement) in addition to coordinating church cleanliness at ACK St .Peters Chepkorio Church.

Mr. Edwin Kamar is a seasoned professional with experience spanning over 14 years in internal auditing, risk management, process improvements and financial accounting. Edwinhas cross cutting experience having worked in both Public and Private sector (East Africa Portland Cement Company Ltd and Safaricom Ltd respectively) before his debut into development world -AGRA an international NGO since 2010.

Edwin is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA-K); a Certified Internal Auditor; a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (ACFE). He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Kenyatta University and currently finalizing his project leading to award of Masters in Business Administration degree from the University of Nairobi

Edwin is passionate about the economic empowerment of the society as a gateway to improvingon its social welfare. He serves on the board on a part time basis
